Refund Policy

This policy lasts 30 days. If 30 days have gone by since your purchase, unfortunately I can’t offer you a refund or exchange.

To be eligible for a return, your item must be unused and in the same condition that you received it. It must also be in the original packaging.

Clothes are exempt from being returned, unless there's a defect. The clothes I offer on my website are printed and sewn to order by a manufacturer in Canada, the manufacturer won't accept returns due to sizing issues or if you change your mind. There's a clear size chart for all clothing items on my website and most of them have sizing references in the description. If you have any doubts about sizing, please write to me at carolina@carolinacotoart.com or use the contact form on this website and I'll be happy to assist you the best that I can.

Additional non-returnable items:

* Original artwork (unless the piece was damaged during shipment)

To complete your return, I require a receipt or proof of purchase.

There are certain situations where only partial refunds are granted: (if applicable)

* Any item not in its original condition, is damaged or missing parts for reasons not due to my error.

* Any item that is returned more than 30 days after delivery

Refunds (if applicable)

Once your return is received and inspected, I will send you an email to notify you that I have received your returned item. I will also notify you of the approval or rejection of your refund.

If you are approved, then your refund will be processed, and a credit will automatically be applied to your credit card or original method of payment, within a one business day.

Late or missing refunds (if applicable)

If you haven’t received a refund yet, first check your bank account again.

Then contact your credit card company, it may take some time before your refund is officially posted.

Next contact your bank. There is often some processing time before a refund is posted.

Sale items (if applicable)

Only regular priced items may be refunded, unfortunately sale items cannot be refunded.

Exchanges (if applicable)

I only replace items if they are defective or damaged. Please send me a picture of the defect or problem to carolina@carolinacotoart.com and I will be in touch with you as soon as possible. 

Gifts

If the item was a gift and shipped directly to you, you’ll receive a gift credit for the value of your return. Once the returned item is received, a gift certificate will be emailed to you.

Shipping

To return your product, you should mail your product to: 319 W Palmetto St, Kill Devil Hills, NC, 27948, United States.

For all return reasons other than returns due to defects or errors on my part, you will be responsible for paying for the return shipping costs for returning your item. Shipping costs are non-refundable, you won't be refunded for the shipping you paid when you initially placed your order (unless there was a defect in your order or there was an order error on my part).

Depending on where you live, the time it may take for your exchanged product to reach you, may vary.

If you are shipping an item over $75, you should consider using a trackable shipping service or purchasing shipping insurance.
